Thanksgiving kicked off (literally) with Maile’s second tailgate in as many weeks. She’s becoming an old pro at these things – although she’s probably starting to wonder why we come all the way to a parking lot to hang out if we never actually go watch any football!
This time Maile got to meet some good dudes from Boston – about half of daddy’s close friends from high school – St. John’s Prep in Danvers, MA. The best part for Maile was meeting two new friends: Maggie and Gannon! Gannon is a few months older than Maile, but Maggie is almost a year older. She will definitely be teaching Maile some new tricks as they get older…
Luckily, Auntie Brooke was also there and she snatched daddy’s camera right away and took lots of pictures – see the slideshow for the highlights!
(PS – And we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that the brothers Gillis did an excellent job cooking up the pork products – we had bacon, pork steaks and sausage and cheese sandwiches. More details to follow – but daddy and his friends bought a pig last spring and Uncle Ryan’s cousin raised it for them. It’s been all butchered up and they are having a big pig roast on Friday night – how fun is that!? The preview from the tailgate was delicious so we have high hopes for the rest.)
