After a brief delay due to Maile’s cold (she’s still got the sniffles, but doing just fine) – we decorated our Christmas tree tonight. Chris has all her ornaments going back to when she was born! She has one for each year – and they all have a story. Even though the Christmas tree isn’t a part of what I grew up with, I like the tradition – its a great way to remember the stories. I really look forward to when Maile is a bit older and Chris can tell her about her childhood as we put up the ornaments.

Hmm ... hard to place the flavor. Smoother than plastic. Has a hint of musk - has this been in the basement for awhile?
Wait, that tasty ornament goes on the tree? Can you put it a little lower? Going to be hard for me to reach up there...
Mommy's famous - she's on one of the ornaments! She's 3 in this picture, a bit older than me, but I definitely think I look like her...
Here's the (almost) finished product - Maile's first Christmas tree! All that is left is to add a Maile ornament... coming soon!
