(Dad note: You’re welcome, Maile Girl. I had a wonderful first father’s day with my girls. Mommy let me sleep in late and then I was woken up by actual hugs from Maile (a new trick she’s picked up – she gave me 10 of them, like she knew it was my special day). After a home made breakfast, I had a relaxing massage and then some afternoon time playing with Maile while we let Mommy take a nap. Finally finished it off with a nice dinner with Jake and his folks. Couldn’t ask for a better father’s day!)

Maile Balboa

Since we don’t really have any in our apartment, Maile got her first taste of “steps” in Hawaii. There was only a single step in the house, but Maile figured out how to navigate it pretty easily. I think its safe to say she remembered the technique and can add “climbing stairs” to her repertoire…
