It was nice out on Saturday, so I decided to take my walker out for a spin...
Just cruising along...
Minding my own business, smelling the flowers, picking at the leaves...
I hang a left out of our complex, and head down the hilll...
When all of a sudden ... BAM! This other kid comes out of nowhere and topples my walker. Luckily I was okay.
Dad: Maile, is that what really happened?
Maile Girl: Yep. Little kid came out of nowhere. We should report this.

I have an admission to make. I cheated a bit when it came to my fantasy football drafts this year. I had Maile Girl helping me with my picks…
Me: Maile Girl, I need a WR - what do you think? Maile: Hold on, let me check a few things. Take Wes Welker, I think he has good value right now. Me: Thanks, Maile Girl.

Yesterday we covered some of Maile’s bedtime routine. Today a little bit of Maile’s morning…
Why does Maile look so awake and Daddy not so much? Maile Girl's already been up for an hour or so at this point...
Maile loves brushing her teeth – she sure knows how to kiss up to her Grandpa Mike!

Last week we started a new bedtime routine with Maile Girl inspired by her friend Harold. Basically, instead of holding Maile and feeding her the bottle, we let her feed herself in her “milk” chair. We showed her a few times that the chair was where she got her milk and she took right to it. Now when she wants milk at night, she often just crawls over and gets ready. (Or maybe she just like the pedicures Mommy gives her…)
The fact that Maile is starting to feed herself combined with the move to regular milk (from breast milk and formula) has made the whole feeding process much easier. Now if she can only figure out the potty training thing 😉
