On Monday, Grandma and Papa decided to take Maile on her first adventure to the Boston Children’s Museum – basically a rite of passage for any kid that grew up in the Boston area. Maile had a blast exploring everything and the pictures that Papa took really brought back some great memories…
Any kid from Boston remembers the big milk bottle...
Daddy told me amazing things happen behind these doors!
Remember the bubble tables?!
Grandma, these look just like magna-tiles - I can show you how this works...
Trains. Are. Cool.
Thanks Grandma and Papa for a wonderful morning at the Children’s Museum – I hope we can go back again next time I come to visit!
Want to have some fun? Grab a laundry basket and an Uncle Stephen and away you go!
Papa got involved too - he's the O.G. of laundry basket roller coasters!
Wheeee!

Whenever we go to the dentist (e.g. Papa) over Thanksgiving, I try to take good care of Mommy.
I'm right here for you Mommy, just squeeze my hand if it hurts...
This appears to be a bit more complicated than when we brush my teeth at home!
Mommy returned the favor by keeping me company when it was my turn - she helped me to be a very brave girl!
(Dad note: This year’s visit was definitely a break through for Maile Girl. She hasn’t been the best patient during past visits. This year started off with lots of tears, but Maile completely relaxed after seeing Mommy get her teeth done and then didn’t freak out at all when it was her turn. Hat tip to Lynn who really helped make Maile comfortable – the huge bag of prizes and stickers helped too!)
Mine was DELICIOUS!
The way I understand, my Great Grandma Judy is my Grandma Jill’s mommy. It sounds a little complicated, but all I know is that she has amazing taste in jewelry! Apparently, she gave a bunch of her favorite bracelets and necklaces and earrings to Grandma and today she brought it out for us to play dress up with. Grandma Jill let me put ALL of it on – at once! – which is cool, because there is no way I could have chosen just a few things. I loved everything and wore everything around all day long (much to daddy’s dismay when it came to nap time)…
I couldn't decide on just one bracelet, so I put them all on!
Grandma Jill helped me put on the earrings...
Apparently these earrings are a little loose, but my understanding is that I can have holes put in my ears that will make them stay better. I'm going to have to talk to Mommy and Daddy about that...
Don't I look beautiful?
Thank you Grandma Jill for sharing your Mommy's jewelry with me!

I was looking back at Thanksgiving pictures from last year and realized we actually had pictures of Maile in the same outfit separated by exactly one year:

Time flies!

Magna-Tiles are by far Maile’s favorite toy these days. She plays with them constantly at home (and at school), building ever elaborate creations. Legos were my thing as a kid, so hoping this bodes well for some amazing Lego creations in the near future!

Daddy said that since I'm two now, he needs to pay for my seat on the airplane. I decided I'd get creative and see if there might be another way for me to fly!

On Saturday we headed over to the San Francisco Auto Show. Neither Chris nor I had been before, but we thought it’d be fun to run around with Maile and check out the cars. We met up with Maile’s friends from school, JJ and Victor. The kids had a blast – they pretty much had free reign to run around and jump inside all the different cars (well, except the Lamborghini – the guy watching the Lamborghini was not amused when JJ and Maile jumped the rope and hopped inside!)
Even though we’re still 13-14 years away from the real thing, I thought I’d take the opportunity to give Maile her first driving lesson…

What better way to kick off the weekend then with a little Maile Gaga “Edge of Glory”?
