I forget if I already told you this, but I’m going to be a big sister soon! Right after Christmas, Mommy says. That’s just two more pages in my calendar (Dad note: we bought Maile a calendar to mark off the days.) She’s getting bigger and bigger in Mommy’s belly. Mommy says she kicks her, I try to feel it, I think I can, but it’s hard to tell sometimes. Today, after bath, though, I definitely felt an arm. Or maybe it was a leg.
Daddy, come over here and say hi to my little sister!
I took this picture of Mommy and Daddy!
She’s going to be the best little sister ever, I can’t wait to meet her!
On Saturday, Maile and Mommy headed over to one of Maile’s classmates house for a puppet making party. All the kids (with the help of their Mommy or Daddy) made their own puppets and then they put on some puppet shows. Maile had a blast and her puppet is awesome. As the pictures show, it took her a little bit to figure out how the puppet stage worked (she thought she was being featured), but she eventually figured it out.
Hi, I'm Maile, this is my show. Umm, Maile, you need to show your puppet.
Ms. Puppet do you want to come out to play? She's shy, I'm working with her.
My Daddy has always been a little silly. Now he even LOOKS silly because he has a moustache! He told me his is growing it because it’s Movember. I told Daddy he was saying it wrong, that it’s NOvember. He then told me that he and his friends call it Movember because they are all growing moustaches to support one of their friends that is sick. I told Daddy I would grow a moustache with him too – so far Daddy’s is looking slightly better than mine, but only slightly, I think I’ll catch up in no time!
See this is where my Daddy's hair is - so silly looking!
(Dad note: Maile is certainly getting a kick out of my November Moustache. For those that haven’t heard of it before, Movember raises awareness and money for prostate and testicular cancer. This is my first year participating and I’m doing it alongside a bunch of my buddies from home in support of a good friend that is battling cancer right now. If you are interested in learning more or donating to the cause check out our team page here: http://us.movember.com/team/605633.)
Maile has been showing more and more interest in writing. We picked up some Kumon workbooks for her and she’s been having fun working through them (although she likes when the lines are curvy, since the straight ones are too boring 😉
Working on her curves...
Good news is that Maile is just as focused on writing as she is when watching TV 🙂
Big steps - moving on from the firstname to the lastname...
On Halloween, Maile’s school had a parade with all the students. With 150+ students and lots of parents, it was a delightful madhouse. Cuteness overload with all the kids in their costumes.
It seemed like the perfect opportunity to test out the new Panorama feature of my iPhone and remake Apple’s latest commercial:
Needless to say, my version didn’t come out quite as well 😉
Not quite as good as the commercial - but still cute!
Maile and friends had lots of fun at the Halloween party!
